Last night was our most hopeful trip around the county in search of a new place to live. We found three excellent possibilities within (or nudging at the edges of) our price range. I'll call about them today and see if we can't get inside the houses for a look sometime this week. Please keep your fingers - all of 'em - crossed for us.

On Saturday, it'll be one month since I departed Mooville. Hard to believe, really. Despite everything, the time has really gone by quickly. Learning my way around such a big office and company has taken up large amounts of energy. More than I expected, in fact. Every meeting, names are mentioned that I've never heard before and I have to figure out who they are, what they do, and where they might be sitting, in case I ever need them. (Yeah, I know I could ask someone, but unless it's a person whose attention I need quickly, that would feel like cheating!)

Like Bruce, I'm starting to feel pretty well cut-off from the Mooville gang. We understand that times get busy and many days, it's hard to find a few minutes to sit down and write. But other than the regular updates of Chee-to Girl, Rob, Corey, Dave, Gryph and Steph, I'm starting to feel like we're all alone out here in journal land. Has the fad run its course, perhaps? If so, I hope someone will let us know so we can stop looking for updates. (Yeah, I know that sounded bitchy, even though I don't really mean it to. If people don't want to or don't have time to write, that's their business, and certainly not worthy of a scolding. We just get disappointed when so many weeks go by without entries. :/) Uhh.. and Johnny, I give you another week or so of grace on this, since you're starting a new career, going to classes, etc. And since you basically saved my hide before I left Missouri. :)

Speaking of Chee-to Girl and Sheep Boy - you really ought to check out their journals if you haven't already. Links are above (and on my travels page). Both have a way with words and truly unique views of the world. Both will make you laugh and best of all, make you think. (Why am I suddenly thinking of HBO? Hmmmmmm.) Speaking of the newlyweds, when can we expect a visit -- Hmm? Er... well, actually, maybe you shouldn't visit here till we actually have a place to live. But that gives you plenty of time to start planning!

Corey - give your mother my best. We'll be holding good thoughts for her. And as for that "friend"... well, I'm sure she wouldn't want to hear what I don't have the nerve to say anyway. But.. well, you know. :) *smooch*

Ok, babble-o-meter off. Time to sit in silence and ponder the nature of things... or maybe go play WordWhomp! at pogo. ;)
